Cristian Charette-Lopez
Dimelo! My name is Cristian Charette-Lopez and I am a senior majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Math. I was born and raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico before moving to Fairfax, Virginia for high school. Outside of LASU, I have previously worked with geoLab as a Machine Learning Researcher, The Rec as an IM referee, DisinfoLab as a Software Engineering Intern, and the Federal Reserve as a Data & Technology Support Intern. In my free time, I love spending time with friends, playing video games, and playing IM sports with the LASUmilia. I am so excited to welcome all the new members to our LASUmilia, to expand knowledge of Latine culture on campus, and to have a great year with all of you!

Kayla Aviles
Buenass! I am Kayla Aviles and I’m a junior majoring in Data Science. My entire family is from El Salvador (guanaco pride x100pre) and I was raised in Richmond, Virginia! On campus, you can find me everywhere and anywhere through my involvements in geoLab, ALPFA, and the Data Science Society. I also love taking nature walks, doing any sort of craft, and creating an unnecessary number of Spotify playlists! I am so so excited for this year and all the fun events we have planned! I cannot wait to see familiar and new faces in our little family at LASU <3

Keilly Hernandez Tun
Hi guys! My name is Keilly Hernandez Tun. I'm a junior majoring in Government with a History minor. I was born in Mixco, Guatemala, and grew up in Leesburg, VA. I'm currently the Vice President for LASU as well as the VP for the International Mini Mart. I enjoy discovering new music, shopping, going to concerts, and watching silly TV shows. This is my second year on exec and I'm so excited to continue to watch our organization grow and prosper. Isabella Sasso
Heyyyy! I’m Isabella Sasso and I’m a Sophomore majoring in Computer Science. My family is from Chi-Chi-Chi! Le-Le-Le! CHILE! And I was raised in Centerville, Virginia. Aside from LASU, my other involvements on campus include the Society of Women in Computing and WMSURE! During my free time, I like reading, playing volleyball, dancing, listening to music, and being silly! Some of my other interests include hamsters, Roblox, minions, the color pink, pretending I know how to vogue, and Studio Ghibli movies. Let’s have a Studio Ghibli watch party or sumthin! I am so excited to get to know the new students coming in and also getting to know current members better! And I cannot wait to help us chase that bag and come up with creative ways to do so.

Brenda Cardona-Hernandez
Holiiis everyone! I’m Brenda Cardona-Hernandez and I’m a sophomore majoring in Psychology and Government. My family is Mexican and Italian, and I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Virginia! My favorite hobby is showing people a map of the Shore because it is unheard of or something. Aside from that, my life consists of dancing (norteñas, bachata, you name it!), loving Snoopy, chuckling, and listening to reggae (Bob Marley is my king forever)! On campus, I am the Public Relations Chair for PLUMAS and involved in the Por La Cultura radio show. I cannot wait to see our current members’ beautiful faces again, and to welcome lovely, new members to the LASUmilia! Nico Giro-Martin
Hi everyone! I’m Nico Giro-Martin! I am a sophomore majoring in International Relations and minoring in Hispanic Studies. I’m from Clifton, Virginia and Tokyo, Japan. My beautiful family is from Uruguay. Aside from being the Historian for LASU, I am also President of the Class of 2027! While I’m not busy, running around, taking care of business, I love watching a good movie. For this lovely year in LASU, I can't wait to have my own littles and immerse them into our LASUmilia.

Skylar Pumagualle
Hey y’all! My name is Skylar Pumagualle, and I’m a Junior majoring in Kinesiology. My family is from beautiful Ecuador, and I live in Lynchburg, Virginia. While on campus, you will see me working for the football team, and playing on the Club Gold Soccer Team, go GSL!!! I am so excited to come up with super fun events for all of my lovely LASU friends <3 I love each and every one of you and I want to make sure this year is absolutely AMAZING!!!! Junior De La Rosa
Klk de lo mio! I'm Junior De La Rosa, a Junior (yep, call me Junior Square) double majoring in Biology and Hispanic Studies on the pre-med track. I was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, but moved to Newport News, Virginia in 2017. Outside of LASU, I'm the DEI chair of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, an active member of Remote Area Medical, and a volunteer at the Peninsula Virginia Food Bank. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, dancing, listening to music, playing volleyball, and drawing. This past summer, I was a cardiac sarcoidosis fellow researcher at the Pauley Heart Center through VCU School of Medicine, where I identified disparities among sex and race in relation to the systemic condition. I'm excited to meet the incoming freshmen this year and for all the fun we'll have together throughout the year as co-social chair.

Valentina Rozo
LASUmilia! My name is Valentina Rozo, a sophomore planning on majoring in both Data Science & Computer Science. I grew up in Northern Virginia, but my dad is from Bolivia and my mom is from Colombia. Aside from LASU, I'm a research assistant for W&M's GeoLab, working with the Global Environment Facility on the geoAnalytics team, and a Programs & Data intern for the Office of Sustainability (I guess I like plants or something). In my free time though, I love doing anything in nature, crocheting, reading, painting/drawing/anything crafty, live music, and dilly-dallying wherever I am! Anyways, I love meeting new people and sharing new experiences, so I'm so excited for what this next year with LASU has to offer <3

Hi!! My name is Marcos Gaitan and I'm a sophomore majoring in Data Science. I'm from Caroline County, Virginia and my family is from both El Salvador and Mexico! Other than LASU, I'm a part of Team C for Volleyball! Other things that I like to do is play video games (like a lot...), watch movies and anime, read books and manga, and queen out with my lovely friends :) I am so so so excited to see all the old and new faces within LASU and for the lasumilia to grow even bigger! Carlos Juarez
Klk! I’m Carlos Juarez, a sophomore majoring in History and Economics. My hometown is Alexandria, Virginia, and my family is a beautiful combination of Peruvian, Guatemalan, and Salvadoran. Alongside being LASU's service chair, I'm the Secretary for the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA). When I'm not holed up in Swem doing work, I like to work out, read, and chill with friends to destress from life. I'm most excited to continue LASU's growth through our meaningful events, and meeting all of the new members to welcome them into our LASUfamilia where we strive to make it feel like a true fam. I'm eager to have my littles as well :)

Gabe Valverde
Hey LASU! I’m Gabe Valverde and I’m a senior majoring in Kinesiology. My hometown is in Maryland, the state with the best drivers, and my family is Peruvian. Some things I enjoy are soccer, listening to music, and movies. I dabble in procrastinating, chilling, vibing, and trapping. Aside from LASU, I am involved in ACS, and I am looking to explore more organizations. The motion I have is unlimited. In my free time, I hang out with friends, waste time in swem, make people laugh, and save the world. I’m excited for LHM and getting our lick back in IM soccer!

Hi LASUmilia! My name is Liyana Mohammed and I am a sophomore double majoring in Government & Psychology. I am from Centreville, Virginia (NOVA). Besides LASU, I am part of the Civic Leadership Program, where I am researching and working towards food insecurity in Williamsburg. I am also an Impact committee member for Alma Mater Productions (AMP) where I plan school-wide events based on diversity & inclusion, health & wellness, and current social topics/issues. In my free time, I love to lift weights, hang out with my friends (I love going out to eat with them), and watch anime. I am excited to meet the new LASU members and to create new events that we will be able to enjoy on top of IM sports.

Hey lasumilia! My name is Hanna Pazo Vargas and I am a sophomore majoring in Psychology. I was born and partly raised in Bogota, Colombia, but I have lived in Centreville, Virginia for the past eight years. I am half Colombian and half Cuban. Outside of LASU, I work as a Clinical Psychologist intern during my breaks and at the library as a Delivery Student Assistant during the school year. In my free time, you can find me cooking, trying cute cafes, going to the gym, and enjoying a little sweet treat. I am so excited about this new year and I can't wait to get to meet all of you <3

Katherine Zavala Aguiluz
Hi guys! My name is Katherine Zavala Aguiluz and i'm a junior studying Government & Psychology! I was born in El Salvador but grew up in Sterling, Virginia. Aside from LASU, I work as a WMSURE fellow, I am the Community Outreach for PLUMAS, and an Hermana of Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc. This summer, I traveled to El Salvador to do research on the politics of the country, specifically focusing on the country's rapid change of stability and how democracy decline fits into that. In my free time, I love to bake and make cutesy sweet treats, listen to my insanely long playlists, and watch rom-coms. I'm excited to meet and work alongside new students in the upcoming year! I look forward to seeing everyone's smiling faces as LASU continues to flourish <3 We can't wait to welcome you all to our LASUmilia con mucho amor!
